Andrew Ullyott’s superb model of Weston-Super-Mare has been widely exhibited including at The London Festival of Railway Modelling, Alexandra Palace in London in March 2007. The most recent exhibition was at Nailsea Model Railway Club Show, Princes Hall, Clevedon, Sat 29/Sun 30 March 2008. Next exhibition dates: Watch this space for further exhibition dates.
The layout featured in Feb 2007 Railway Modeller magazine. In the annual competition for the RM Cup voted by readers, Andrew was runner up for 2007. The layout also featured in Model Railway Journal No 162 in November 2005. See also Magazine articles page.
It is in 4 mm/ft scale EM gauge, and is virtually dead scale in length from Ashcombe Road to Milton Avenue. Clevedon and Manor Terraces have been realigned slightly to compress depth. It depicts the period 1935-6.
Andrew has modelled the following stock: 2-4-0T No 1 Clevedon, 0-6-0T Terriers No 2 Portishead and No 4, 0-6-0T No 3 Weston, 2-4-0T No 4 Hesperus, both railcars and trailer, several coaches and wagons. click photos to enlarge
