• We had a stand at the Sedgemoor Rail 2009 Model Railway Exhibition on Sat 29/Sun 30 August at Burnham on Sea.

• Our new DVD featured on BBC TV Points West on 24 August 2009. Watch clip

• We have run two very successful guided mini-bus tours of the Route of the WC&PR on 25 July and 16 August 2009.

• We have now surveyed the complete route from Weston to Portishead.

• We had a stand for the second consecutive year at the Bristol Model Railway Exhibition at Thornbury on May 1/2/3 2009.

• We had a second successful visit with our stand at the Nailsea & District Model Railway Club Exhibition at Princes Hall, Clevedon on Sat 28/Sun 29 March 2009. In our raffle, 1st prize was ticket number 186 Mr ? from Clevedon, 2nd: 170 Mr Robins of Poole, 3rd: 146 Mr Cooke, Llandybie, Wales.

• We had a successful stand at the Burnham & District Model Railway Club Exhibition at Weston super Mare on 11 Jan 2009.

• We held our 2nd AGM on 20 Nov 2008. Our membership has now reached 90 for the first time.
• We had a stand at the Shirehampton Model Railway Exhibition on 11 October 2008, our 5th show of the year.

• We had a well attended stand at Clevedon Flower Show & Festival at Salthouse Fields on 23/24 August 2008.

• We had a stand at the “Archaeology in the Park” event at Weston-super-Mare on 13 July 2008. We were pleased to be invited to attend, and we emphasised the industrial archaeology aspects e.g. our route survey. We made some more useful contacts.

• We had another successful event with a stand at the Bristol Model Railway Exhibition at Thornbury on May 2/3/4 2008. Photo of stand.

• We had a very successful stand at the Nailsea & District Model Railway Club Exhibition at Princes Hall, Clevedon, Sat 29 March & Sun 30 2008.

• To mark the 110th Anniversary on 1 Dec 2007, members met at the site of the Weston Ashcombe Road station.

• We had our first AGM on 22 November 2007 with a guest speaker.

• On 10 November 2007, 12 members visited the River Yeo bridge and wharf which is on private land, by arrangement with the farmer, as part of our route survey.

• We had a successful stand at the Clevedon Flower Show & Festival on Sat 25 and Sun 26 August 07.

• We have been contacted by a number of people to tell us of their memories of the railway, for which we are very grateful.

• We featured in the Bristol Evening Post on Sat 4 Aug 07 as a double page centre spread article, and also on page 2 of the Clevedon Mercury on Thurs 2 Aug.

• Our second public event was a stand at the Portishead Flower Show & Country Fair on Fri 27 & Sat 28 July. Photo of stand.

• We have started doing audio recordings of people’s memories of the railway.

• We are doing a comprehensive physical survey of the route.

• We had our first public event with a stand at the Trams, Trains, Buses, Models and Memorobilia exhibition at Weston-super-Mare on Sat 21 April 07.

• The inaugural meeting of the Group was held on 30 November 2006 in Clevedon.
